SILENCE

A second of “silence” recorded during our session at BBC/UWTSD Studio. I recorded Simon speaking, isolated a second or so of “silence” between words and then slowed it down in extremity. No effects apart from amplification.

The sound that results is quite intriguing. The ambient sound from the room, with our group in it and background noise, plus the sound from the phone my recording app is on, combine - when amplified - into a very dynamic output that I can use, sampled, for a further track. Six tracks like this and I could craft quite a dynamic “suite”.
