about

A collaboration with Zebra Mann using my Project-50 Tapegerm spoken word loop, part of his Unknown Ocean symphonic piece, and various percussion loops that have languished too long on his computer hard drive. Based around my poem, "My Song At Dawn".

lyrics

My Song At Dawn

I read what you said
My song at dawn
Without melody
The light across the bay
My song at dawn
And if I hold your hands
Will they become water
And run through again?
I would drown in your brown eyes
And never call for help
Or reach for rescue
Quicksand water wave ocean sea
These words I use
To submerge me
I know none of this is real
My permission
To once again believe
That you will come to me
Or I to you
We will meet
Sleep by each other
Warm, in cold reality
